So the Ariana Grande says “thank u, next” for real! yeap you heard it right.
The Grammy-winning singer announced Ariana Grande on Instagram Sunday afternoon that she was engaged to her boyfriend Dalton Gomez after dating the Los Angeles runner for nearly a year.
Grande revealed the news in a series of photos of the two hugging and wrote in the caption: “Forever”
In a handful of photos, the 27-year-old showed off a ring with a solid diamond star and what looked like a white pearl on a thin platinum band.
Good wishes and congratulations from Grande’s famous friends came immediately, with her Scooter Braun manager Hailey Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato and others taking part in the comments.
“Congratulations on these two wonderful souls,” wrote Braun. “Ari, we love you and we couldn’t be happier for you. Dalton, you’re a lucky guy. “
“YAYYYYYY !!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 I’m so happy for you guys !!” Bieber added in his own comment separately.
“💞💞💞💞 this ring is everything !!!! “I love you,” Lovato said.
“They couldn’t be happier. They are so excited. It’s a happy time for them. Both parents are excited,” an anonymous source told People about the engagement.
Grande and Dalton confirmed their romance for the first time in June when they appeared together in their duet with Justin Bieber on middle-aged themes, “Stuck With U.”
However, the two first bonded in January, People reported, and viewers saw them kiss at a bar in Northridge, California, the following month.
Their relationship only seemed to intensify from then on. The pop superstar was reported to have “spent a lot of time alone” with Gomez, and they were quarantined together at the singer’s Los Angeles home amid incarceration for the coronavirus crisis.
After a series of high-profile relationships, Grande and Gomez have largely kept their love life out of the public eye, with the exception of a few rare Instagram posts.
An anonymous source told People over the summer that the ‘Positions’ singer “doesn’t want another public relationship, so she’s trying to keep quiet.”
